What We Do
Climb allows students to learn from experiences and seasoned leaders from all backgrounds. This program is split into two learning phases: regional and international.
Throughout the regional phase, students will meet weekly for different trainings and activities. Students will learn from different nonprofits, church leaders and missionaries. They will also participate in monthly experiences throughout the Midwest that will stretch and challenge their mind, body and spirit.
After the regional phase, individuals will go overseas to serve alongside one of our trusted ministry partners and work alongside their ministry.
Throughout the entire program, students will have the opportunity to earn up to a year’s worth of college credits through BU@NMC.
Monthly Experiences
We partner with organizations that serve homeless individuals, refugees, various international communities in the area, and people experiencing poverty.
We also offer a camping experience, fasting experience, and other surprise activities designed to help prepare students for their time overseas with a ministry partner.
Weekly Trainings
Every Tuesday afternoon, Climb participants will meet as a group for a training session. These sessions vary weekly but generally consist of discussion based content and include activities and guest visits from pastors, missionaries and nonprofit leaders who offer their expertise.
Think of it as a missions crash course where you can hear from—and learn from—all types of people who have been pursuing the fulfillment of the Great Commission for decades, each in their own unique way!
Education
One benefit that the Climb program has, is the ability for students to earn up to a years worth of college credit through BU@NMC. Check out the BU@NMC website to explore different degree types and learn more. BU@NMC is a fully accredited university that provides easily transferable credits to almost any other university.
Individuals in the work force are able to continue working through the first semester of the program; however, they will need to take off work for roughly 3 months during the overseas phase.
